- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water or milk
- 1 apple, diced
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Optional toppings: nuts, seeds, or dried fruits
Instructions
- In a pot, bring water or milk to a boil.
- Stir in the rolled oats, grated carrot, diced apple, honey or maple syrup, and cinnamon.
- Reduce heat to low and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are cooked and creamy.
- Serve warm, adding any optional toppings as desired.
Notes
For a low-sugar alternative, omit the sweetener. Meal prep the dry ingredients in advance for convenience.
