A glossy, caramelized balsamic glaze coats baked chicken breasts, finished with a sprinkle of dried herbs and a sheen of honey.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for more flavor.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
  6. Serve warm, and enjoy with your choice of sides.

Notes

Pat the chicken dry before marinating to ensure the glaze adheres. Rest the chicken for five minutes after baking to keep it juicy.
