Ingredients
3 ripe bananas, mashed
2 eggs
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a loaf pan.
2. Mash bananas in a large bowl.
3. Whisk in brown sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla.
4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
5. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture.
6. Stir in chocolate chips.
7. Pour batter into loaf pan and smooth the top.
8. Bake for 50–60 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
9. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to rack.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas with black spots for best flavor.
Tent with foil if the top browns too fast.
