Ingredients

  • 2 medium beetroot, roasted and peeled
  • 100g goat cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Violet flowers for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and toast in the oven until golden brown.
  3. In a bowl, mix the goat cheese with salt and pepper.
  4. Slice the roasted beetroot into rounds.
  5. Assemble the crostini: spread a layer of goat cheese on each toasted baguette slice, top with beetroot, and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
  6. Garnish with violet flowers if using. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, roast beetroots until tender and allow goat cheese to soften at room temperature.
