- 1 baguette, sliced
- 2 medium beetroot, roasted and peeled
- 100g goat cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Violet flowers for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and toast in the oven until golden brown.
- In a bowl, mix the goat cheese with salt and pepper.
- Slice the roasted beetroot into rounds.
- Assemble the crostini: spread a layer of goat cheese on each toasted baguette slice, top with beetroot, and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
- Garnish with violet flowers if using. Serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, roast beetroots until tender and allow goat cheese to soften at room temperature.
