Boozy Cherry Bombs Dipped in White Chocolate with a Peppermint Crunch

Delightful Boozy Cherry Bombs filled with maraschino cherries, dipped in white chocolate and topped with peppermint crunch.

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces maraschino cherries with stems
  • ¼ cup peppermint schnapps
  • 5 ounces white chocolate melting discs
  • ¼ cup peppermint candies, finely crushed (about 1012 pieces)

Instructions

  1. Remove the lid from the jar of maraschino cherries (save the lid) and drain out ¼ cup of the juice, leaving cherries in the jar.
  2. Add ¼ cup peppermint schnapps to the jar, replace the lid, and refrigerate for 1 hour (or up to overnight) to let cherries soak.
  3. After soaking, remove cherries from the jar and place them on paper towels, patting them dry thoroughly.
  4. Line a rimmed tray with parchment paper and set aside.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate discs: microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute at 50% power, stir, then microwave an additional 15–30 seconds or until smooth (stirring between increments).
  6. Hold a dry cherry by the stem and dip about ¾ of it into the melted white chocolate.
  7. Dip the bottom of the chocolate-coated cherry into the crushed peppermint candies; place on the prepared tray, stem pointing up. Repeat with remaining cherries.
  8. Place the tray in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to chill before serving.

Notes

Ensure cherries are thoroughly dry before dipping for better chocolate adherence.
