A creamy and crunchy Cabbage Alfredo that transforms cabbage into an elegant dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion and garlic, cooking until fragrant and the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet, stirring well. Cook until the cabbage is tender.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
  5. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
  6. Cook for an additional few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

Slice the cabbage thinly for better texture. Adjust seasoning at the end of the cooking process to maintain balance.
