A warm and comforting Cheesy Cabbage Casserole that combines tender cabbage with creamy cheese and a crispy breadcrumb topping, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, boil the chopped cabbage until tender, about 5–7 minutes, then drain.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked cabbage, shredded cheese, sour cream, and cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  5. In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm as a side dish or main course.

Notes

For a meatier option, feel free to add ground turkey or sausage. You can also substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a healthier option.
