- 1 head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 cup of sour cream
- 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, boil the chopped cabbage until tender, about 5–7 minutes, then drain.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked cabbage, shredded cheese, sour cream, and cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
- In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Serve warm as a side dish or main course.
Notes
For a meatier option, feel free to add ground turkey or sausage. You can also substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream for a healthier option.
