Scale
- 1 loaf of bread (Texas toast)
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions

- In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over each slice of Texas toast.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously on top of each slice.
- Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes
For best results, use freshly shredded cheese, soften the butter to room temperature, and avoid overcrowding the baking sheet.
