Crispy, buttery Texas toast topped with melted cheese and garlic for a comforting, indulgent snack or side.

  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

  • Texas toast bread
  • Butter
  • Garlic powder
  • Shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
  • Parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread a generous amount of butter on each slice of Texas toast.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder evenly over the buttered toast.
  4. Add a handful of shredded cheese on top of each slice.
  5. Place the toast on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Let butter sit at room temperature for even spreading. Use freshly shredded cheese for better melt. Arrange slices with space on the baking sheet for even browning.
