Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: Soak the strips in buttermilk for about 30 minutes.
- Dredge and coat: Dip in flour, then egg, then flour again for extra crispiness.
- Heat your oil: Get it hot but not smoking in a deep pan or fryer.
- Fry till golden: Drop the chicken pieces in carefully and cook for about 5 minutes per side until golden.
- Sauce it up: Mix honey, chipotle, ketchup, and vinegar in a pan and warm until bubbly, then dunk the fried chicken in the sauce.
Notes
You can bake the chicken at 425°F for a healthier option, just spray with oil for best results. Store-bought honey chipotle sauce can be used in a pinch.
