Rich and simple chocolate fudge bars with a delightful crispy rice crunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed rice cereal
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate chips together over low heat.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Fold in the crushed rice cereal and nuts if using.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until set.
  7. Allow to cool, cut into bars, and enjoy!
