  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cookies 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet, flattening each ball slightly.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are firm.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

To enhance flavor, consider toasting the walnuts before adding them to the dough.
