- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

- Creamy glaze (optional) – powdered sugar with water or plant-based milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar together.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bars cool completely.
- In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with a little water or plant-based milk to create a smooth glaze.
- Optionally, add a sprinkle of cinnamon to the glaze.
- Cut the cooled bars into even pieces and drizzle generously with the glaze.
Notes
Room temperature ingredients blend more easily for a consistent batter. Allow bars to cool completely before glazing.
