- 2 lbs boneless chicken breasts, cut into tenderloin strips
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 (12 oz) bag Cool Ranch Doritos, crushed
- 1 cup flour
- Optional: 1–2 Tbsp Ranch seasoning mix for extra flavor
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- Place chicken strips in a bowl and pour buttermilk over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Crush the Cool Ranch Doritos into fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin.
- In a shallow dish, combine crushed Doritos, flour, and optional Ranch seasoning.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove chicken from buttermilk, letting excess drip off, and dredge in Doritos-flour mixture. Press gently to coat.
- Fry chicken strips in batches for about 3–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Drain cooked chicken tenders on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For extra crunch, double-dip the chicken in buttermilk and then the Doritos mixture.
