Ingredients

  • ¼ cup chopped red onion
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon white pepper
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • ⅔ cup toasted pecans (coarsely chopped)
  • ½ cup dried cranberries

Instructions

  1. Soak chopped red onion in cold water while you prepare the rest of the salad.
  2. Combine sour cream, maple syrup, salt, and pepper in a small bowl, and set aside.
  3. Place broccoli florets, pecans, and cranberries in a large bowl.
  4. Drain red onion, and add it to the bowl with the broccoli mixture.
  5. Drizzle the sour cream dressing over the veggies, and toss to mix the veggies so they are all covered with dressing.
  6. Cover and chill for 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Use fresh, vibrant broccoli for the best flavor and texture. Consider toasting the pecans just before adding them for enhanced flavor.
