  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup pepper jelly
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, pepper jelly, chopped chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture onto the wider end of each triangle of dough.
  5. Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end, pinching the edges to ensure the filling stays inside. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush each crescent bite with the beaten egg to achieve a shiny, golden finish once baked.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free crescent roll dough. Experiment with different herbs and flavors to customize your bites.
