This creamy garlic shrimp pasta is an easy, cozy dish that delivers restaurant-style comfort for weeknight dinners.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb raw, peeled, deveined shrimp
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Cracked black pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Pour in heavy cream, salt, and pepper, and let it bubble for a minute.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Toss in the cooked pasta and stir to combine. Serve with a sprinkle of parmesan if desired.

Notes

Can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version. For gluten-free, use your favorite gluten-free pasta.
