Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into sticks. Boil them in salted water until tender, then drain and let cool.
  2. Set up a breading station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  3. Dip each potato stick first in flour, then in egg, and finally in breadcrumbs to coat well.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the potato sticks until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
