Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Feta cheese
- 8 sheets Phyllo dough
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Chili honey (honey mixed with chili flakes or sauce)
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1/4 cup Fresh herbs (such as dill or parsley)
- Optional: red pepper flakes for extra heat
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Crumble the feta cheese into a bowl and mix in chopped fresh herbs, black pepper, and a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired.
- Lay out a sheet of phyllo dough and brush it lightly with olive oil.
- Place a small amount of the feta mixture at one end and roll it up tightly, folding in the sides as you go to create a roll.
- Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and brush the tops with more olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- While baking, prepare the chili honey drizzle. Heat honey in a small saucepan and add chili flakes, stirring until combined.
- Once the rolls are done baking, drizzle with the sweet and spicy chili honey before serving.
- Enjoy as a tasty appetizer or salad side.
Notes
Keep phyllo sheets covered with a damp towel while working to prevent drying out. Enjoy these warm for the best texture contrast.
