- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup dill pickles, chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and chopped dill pickles.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and season it with salt and pepper.
- Form the cheese mixture into small bite-sized balls and dip each ball into the beaten egg and then roll it in breadcrumbs to coat.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the cheese bites until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
Notes
Keep the pickle pieces small to avoid moist pockets that can burst. Chill the bites briefly before frying if they feel loose.
