- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Extra salt for finishing
Instructions
- Peel the jicama and cut it into thick slices, then into thin fry sticks.
- Soak the jicama sticks in water for 30 minutes if they feel stiff.
- In a bowl, toss the jicama sticks with olive oil and spices until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Spread the jicama fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway until golden brown and crispy.
- Sprinkle with extra salt before serving.
Notes
These fries are delicious with dips like spicy ketchup or garlic aioli. For unexpected crunch, try them as a salad topper!
