- 1 to 1.5 cups milk (2 percent or oat milk)
- 2 or 3 teaspoons sugar or maple syrup (or sweetener of your choice)
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (plus more for topping)
- Pinch of vanilla (optional)
- 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or one shot of espresso
- Whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, whisk together pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, sugar, and milk. Heat gently, taking care not to boil.
- Once steamy, remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
- Pour hot coffee or espresso into a mug.
- Add the pumpkin-milk mixture to the coffee.
- If desired, froth the mixture for a foamy texture.
- Top with whipped cream and extra pumpkin spice before serving.
Notes
Use plain pumpkin puree for best flavor. You can swap the milk for any non-dairy alternative. This drink can be enjoyed hot or iced.
