Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 5 tablespoons butter, cold or frozen
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  5. Add the milk gradually, stirring just until combined.
  6. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times.
  7. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick slab and cut into rounds.
  8. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

Use cold butter for a flaky texture and avoid overmixing the dough.
