- 6 cups popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup unpopped kernels)
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Candy eyes for decoration
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sugar and salt, stirring until combined.
- Add the marshmallows and continue stirring until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the warm marshmallow mixture over the popped popcorn, mixing well to coat all kernels.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly. Grease your hands and form the popcorn into balls.
- Place candy eyes on each ball before they set completely.
- Let the popcorn balls cool completely on wax paper before serving.
Notes
Butter your hands to prevent the mixture from sticking while shaping. Use fresh popcorn for best results.
