- 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a food processor, combine the pitted dates, almond flour, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt until a dough forms.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the cookie base.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes until lightly golden.
- Allow to cool slightly.
- Pour the melted dark chocolate over the cooled cookie base, spreading it evenly.
- Refrigerate until set, then cut into bars. Enjoy your Homemade Date Twix Bars!
Notes
For best results, use soft Medjool dates and watch the baking time to avoid overbaking.
