Delicious and healthy homemade Date Twix Bars combining a rich, chewy date layer with a creamy chocolate topping, perfect for dessert lovers.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, combine the pitted dates, almond flour, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt until a dough forms.
  3. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the cookie base.
  4. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. Allow to cool slightly.
  6. Pour the melted dark chocolate over the cooled cookie base, spreading it evenly.
