- 4 ripe pears
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cut the pears in half and remove the cores.
- In a baking dish, place the pear halves cut side up.
- Drizzle honey over the pears, and place a small piece of butter on each half.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg, and add chopped nuts if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until the pears are tender.
- Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Choose ripe, firm pears for the best texture. Baste with pan juices for added gloss.
