  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 chicken hamburger buns
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and caramelize for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, cooking until fully browned while breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Drain excess fat and mix in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Toast hamburger buns until golden brown.
  6. Assemble by placing the beef mixture on the bottom half of each bun, topping generously with Swiss cheese before adding the top bun.
