- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 chicken hamburger buns
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and caramelize for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, cooking until fully browned while breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Drain excess fat and mix in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Toast hamburger buns until golden brown.
- Assemble by placing the beef mixture on the bottom half of each bun, topping generously with Swiss cheese before adding the top bun.
Notes
Use a wide skillet for even caramelization and consider ingredient swaps for dietary requirements.
