A flavorful combination of marinated steak, warm rice, and a spicy cream sauce, balanced with crisp vegetables.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, broccoli)
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Grill or pan-sear the steak to your desired doneness, then let it rest before slicing.
  3. In a separate pan, sauté mixed vegetables until tender.
  4. In another bowl, combine gochujang and heavy cream. Stir until smooth.
  5. To assemble, place cooked rice in bowls, top with sliced steak and sautéed vegetables, and drizzle with the spicy cream sauce.
  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Pat the steak dry before searing for a uniform crust. Let the meat rest to keep juices within.
