- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup mushrooms, chopped
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, diced
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped mushrooms, shredded Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, diced onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well blended.
- Form the mixture into a loaf and place in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 1 hour or until cooked through.
- Let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
- Enjoy with mashed potatoes and gravy.
Notes
Avoid overmixing to keep the crumb tender. Let the loaf rest after baking for better slicing.
