Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (such as Grands!)
- Nutella or other chocolate hazelnut spread
- Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil works best)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Take a biscuit and flatten it slightly to create a small disc.
- Place a spoonful of Nutella in the center of the flattened dough.
- Fold the dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal tightly.
- Gently place the stuffed biscuits into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the cooked doughnuts from the oil, drain on paper towels, and dust with powdered sugar while still warm.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider baking the stuffed biscuits instead of frying them.
