Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and then add the vanilla extract, mixing well until completely incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cardamom.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
- Stir in the orange zest until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them evenly apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden; don’t overbake!
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired and enjoy your delicious cookies!
