Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup crushed Oreos
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, crushed Oreos, and crushed candy canes.
  6. Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden and the centers are still soft.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For chewier cookies, you can chill the dough before baking. These cookies can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container.
