Ingredients

  • 1 acorn squash
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Carefully cut the acorn squash in half and scoop out the seeds.
  3. Brush the insides of each half with olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle salt and pepper generously over the flesh.
  5. Drizzle maple syrup over the insides of the squash.
  6. Place the squash halves cut side down on a baking sheet.
  7. Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, until tender.
  8. Optionally, sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy the delightful flavors!

Notes
