- 1 acorn squash
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Carefully cut the acorn squash in half and scoop out the seeds.
- Brush the insides of each half with olive oil.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper generously over the flesh.
- Drizzle maple syrup over the insides of the squash.
- Place the squash halves cut side down on a baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, until tender.
- Optionally, sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.
- Serve warm and enjoy the delightful flavors!
Notes
For an alternate sweetener, consider using honey or agave syrup. Add balsamic vinegar or crushed nuts for extra nutrition.
