- 1 box of cake mix (pistachio flavor)
- 1 package of pistachio pudding mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of maraschino cherries, chopped
- 1/2 cup of almonds, chopped
- 1 cup of powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2-3 tablespoons of almond extract (for glaze)
- 1-2 tablespoons of milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pistachio pudding mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in the chopped maraschino cherries and chopped almonds.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, almond extract, and milk in a bowl until smooth and drizzle over the cooled bread before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature eggs and measured liquids for best results. Cool completely before glazing.
