- 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice to the mixture. Bring to a simmer.
- Cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Let the syrup cool at room temperature before transferring it to a bottle.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to three weeks.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider using stevia or another sugar alternative. Serve this syrup over pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, or in cocktails.
