Ingredients

  • Russet potatoes
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and dry them.
  3. Pierce each potato several times with a fork.
  4. Rub olive oil all over the potatoes, then sprinkle generously with salt and pepper.
  5. Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the skins are crispy and a fork easily pierces the potato.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Choose even-sized russets for uniform cooking. Rotate potatoes if your oven has hot spots for even browning.
