Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20 for juiciness)
- 1 tsp Salt (Adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp Pepper (Freshly cracked black pepper preferred)
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder (or fresh minced garlic)
- 4 large Flour Tortillas (gluten-free available)
- 1 cup Shredded Cheddar or American Cheese (mixing recommended)
- 1 cup Pickles (adds a tangy crunch)
- 1 cup Diced Onions (for that classic burger flavor)
- 1/2 cup Burger Sauce (to use as dip or drizzle)
Instructions
- Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Prepare the Tortillas: Lay out the flour tortillas flat. On one half of each tortilla, layer half of the cheese, followed by the cooked ground beef, diced onions, pickles, and the remaining cheese.
- Fold the Quesadilla: Carefully fold each tortilla in half to enclose the filling.
- Cook the Quesadillas: In the same skillet, add a little oil if needed. Place the folded quesadillas in the skillet and cook over medium heat until they are golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Repeat with the remaining quesadillas.
- Remove and Slice: Once crispy, remove the quesadillas from the skillet and let them cool for a minute. Slice each quesadilla into wedges.
- Serve with Sauce: Serve warm with burger sauce for dipping or drizzling on top.
Notes
Avoid overstuffing to prevent tearing during cooking. Combine different cheeses for added flavor.
