- 4 large sweet potatoes
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 2 cups Gruyère cheese, shredded
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon rosemary (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Peel and slice the sweet potatoes thinly for even cooking.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sweet potato slices.
- Spread cranberries evenly over this layer.
- Sprinkle half of the Gruyère cheese on top.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining sweet potatoes, cranberries, and cheese.
- In a bowl, mix heavy cream with salt, pepper, and rosemary. Pour this mixture over the layered gratin.
- Top with breadcrumbs and dot with butter.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Allow the gratin to cool slightly before serving.
