A twist on regular burgers, these oven-baked cabbage burgers are light, flavorful, and a great alternative for a healthy meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chopped cabbage, diced onion, eggs, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Use your hands to mash the mixture together until sticky and clumpy.
  4. Shape the mixture into burger patties and place them on a lined baking tray, flattening them slightly.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize the ingredients with shredded carrots, cooked quinoa, or spices according to your taste. Pair with baked sweet potatoes or a salad.
