Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 23 Thai bird chilies, chopped (to taste)

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and bird chilies, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar until the chicken is well coated.

  6. Serve the Thai Basil Chicken over jasmine rice.

Notes

Use thin, uniform slices of chicken and add the basil only at the end to maintain flavor and texture.
