- 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled
- 3 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2–1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to heat preference)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and lightly brush both sides with olive oil.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crisp. Let them cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, blend the feta, cream cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, and black pepper until smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides as necessary. Chill until ready to serve.
- In a small saucepan, warm the honey and red pepper flakes over low heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let it infuse for 5–10 minutes, straining if desired.
- Spread a generous spoonful of whipped feta onto each crostini and drizzle with the warm hot honey. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For a healthier version, opt for reduced-fat cream cheese or whole grain baguette slices. Serve with a light salad or crisp white wine.
