- 1 loaf cinnamon swirl bread
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces apple pie filling, chopped fine (or cinnamon applesauce)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
- Cinnamon Buttermilk Caramel Sauce, for dipping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of cinnamon swirl bread.
- In a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese and chopped apple pie filling until well mixed.
- Spread the cream cheese and apple mixture evenly over each flattened slice of bread, then roll tightly seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a separate bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Brush melted butter over each roll-up and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar and accompanied by optional cinnamon buttermilk caramel sauce.
