Ingredients

  • 3-4 ripe avocados
  • 1 loaf of artisan bread
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 lemons
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • Optional toppings: cheese, eggs, bacon, tomatoes, spinach

Instructions

  1. Preheat your toaster or toaster oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice your bread into 1/2-inch thick slices.
  3. Brush the bread with olive oil on both sides.
  4. Toast the bread for about 10-12 minutes, or until it’s lightly browned and crispy.
  5. Mash your avocados in a bowl with a fork, adding a squeeze of lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
  6. Spread the avocado mixture onto the toasted bread.
  7. Add your preferred toppings and serve immediately.
