- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, using a mixer, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time.
- Gradually add in the flour mixture and mix until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
