- 2 slices of crusty bread
- 1 cup cooked chicken, chopped
- 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/4 cup Caesar dressing
- Parmesan cheese, for garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the chopped chicken, romaine lettuce, and Caesar dressing. Mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the chicken mixture on one slice of bread, top with Parmesan cheese, and cover with the other slice of bread.
- Optionally, grill the sandwich in a pan until the bread is golden brown.
- Slice in half and serve immediately.
Notes
Keep the chicken cold or just shy of room temperature to preserve the dressing’s structure. Use a spoon to toss the filling rather than a whisk to avoid bruising the romaine.
