Small puffs of crisp pastry filled with a warm, silky chicken and cheese mixture, drizzled with a glossy Parmesan cream sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for sauce)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the cooked chicken, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
  4. Place a generous spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the pastry over to create a pocket, sealing the edges with a fork.
  6. Place the chicken pillows on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth.
  8. Serve the chicken pillows hot, drizzled with the Parmesan cream sauce and garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Chill the filled squares for at least ten minutes before baking to firm seams and minimize leaking. Serve immediately for peak texture.
