Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp (25g) granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp (15g) baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup (180ml) milk (or almond milk for a dairy-free option)
- 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted (or coconut oil for a vegan option)
- 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
- 2 tbsp (15g) ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened (or vegan butter for a plant-based option)
- 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar
- 1-2 tbsp (15-30ml) milk (or almond milk for a dairy-free glaze)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures that your Quick Cinnamon rolls bake evenly and rise properly
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir until well mixed. This dry mixture forms the base of your dough
- Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir until a soft dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour, a tablespoon at a time
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute. This helps develop the gluten, giving the rolls their structure
- Roll the dough into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick. Spread the softened butter over the surface, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll tightly from one long side to the other
- Cut the roll into 1-inch slices and place them in a greased baking dish. This ensures they bake evenly and don't stick to the pan
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. While they bake, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve immediately. Enjoy the gooey, sweet goodness of your Quick Cinnamon rolls!
